Getting a Kitten from Us
When considering getting a British Shorthair kitten, we recommend visiting the Finnish breed association’s (Brittikissat ry) website and reading about the most common health concerns and breeding goals in Finland.
When contacting us, please tell us what kind of home and life situation you're offering, your preferences for gender and color, and whether you're interested in cat shows. If we don't currently have kittens available, we can add you to our waiting list.
Our kittens are accustomed to being handled and to everyday household sounds – our 11–12-year-old children help with petting and playing. We introduce the kittens to a varied and high-quality diet: dry, raw, and wet food. Our goal is a 50/50 feeding approach.
Kittens are ready for their new homes at a minimum age of 14 weeks, vaccinated, microchipped, and registered with the Finnish Cat Association. They receive their first vaccine at 12 weeks, and the second (booster) is the new owner's responsibility at 15–16 weeks. Early spay/neuter is available upon request.
Each kitten comes with an electronic registration certificate, a health check certificate, a kitten guide, and a starter kit with familiar food. We use the Finnish Cat Association’s official sales contract.
Occasionally, an adult cat may also be looking for a new home after retiring from breeding. We aim to find loving retirement homes where they can enjoy life as cherished family members.
